some pictures i took on the ride home from LA:

these are practically just pictures playing with long shutter speeds, low ISO's and lights of cars driving past; and bokeh, which is to take a deliberate, out-of-focus picture of a light source. interesting, no?
anyways, my new camera is coming in tomorrow. can't wait! i think i'm going to shoot in black and white film for the first time on this one. its a fully manual 35mm vivitar slr. comes with a f1.7 50mm lens and flash! got it off ebay for $55. so happy. going to go photohunting with alex on sunday.
and here's an update on my kitten, kip:
she's doing great. she's obedient (most times, unless you get her all hyper and rowdy) and is house trained already. she eats a lot and has a little belly now xP .. she's also got a really boss character, and knows that i'm mommy. she also grew a little.. overall she's a great cat. i just wish she'd get along with dogs... (she hissed at my brother's maltese and the dog backed away into a corner LOL)
so yeah. expect more pictures after sunday ;]

| so today alex skipped classes to cheer me up, and it did. its so hard to be sad around him, i love that boy.. always giving me reasons to smile when i can't find any. not to mention i had a good day in school, and i got that camera yesterday off ebay for really cheap.. actually managed to finish my homework before 9 and what is this?
oh, a phone call from my mother. let's see... in one phone call she told me:
1. "remember, you're not supposed to be with alex because you're not allowed to have a boyfriend"
2. "throw your cat out, i don't want it in my house. i don't care if it dies outside or whatever, i just don't want it in my house"
3. "you have a bad grade in math, i don't care that you've been sick for the past 2 months, you should have made it up anyway. see? because of that you're not going to get into college anymore, no one will take you in"
4. "your phone is your fault. don't blame it on other people. looks like you have to make do without one until you get one yourself because i'm not getting you a new one" (yes, my $500 blackberry is broken. and i swear its not my fault, my cousin asked to borrow it, and her baby drooled all over it and now its dead. not covered by warranty and i've tried everything i could to save it.. but whatever, my dad said he'd get me a new one)
... but y'know. thanks mum. i've already had a really messed up month. i've been really sick the past 2 months, and you never called until i had that high fever when i nearly had to go to the hospital. you don't even know which colleges i applied to, oh and by the way, thanks for making me stress out about college more than i already am. and you didn't even hear out my side of the story about my phone but immediately put the blame to me.
fuck your shit, i am sick of it. so sick of it. i've already been feeling horrible, thanks for pushing me over the edge yet again. you never fail to put me in misery. sometimes i wonder what gives you the right to bitch about me when you don't even know what's going on in my life... | | |
